Lanwades and Staffordstown Studs have agreed to extend their support of the Curragh Racecourse by supporting the Gr.3 Lanwades Stud Stakes on Sunday, 26th August for fillies and mares aged three-year-old and upwards over nine furlongs, in addition to the Listed Staffordstown Stud Fillies Stakes for two-year-olds, which takes place at the finale of the Curragh season on Sunday, 14th October.

Lanwades Stud is of course home to AUSSIE RULES, HERNANDO and SELKIRK, together with Gr.1 Dewhurst Stakes and Gr.1 Derby winner SIR PERCY and Gr.1 winner ARCHIPENKO, while Staffordstown Stud in County Meath has been responsible for rearing top class performers including ALBORADA, ALBANOVA and LADY JANE DIGBY.

Also in 2012 for the first time Lanwades are to sponsor the Listed Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes, at Ovrevoll in Norway for fillies and mares aged three-year-old and upwards over 1600m (8f) to be run on 26th July.

Having added two new Group 3 races to its sponsorship programme in 2011 and also a Listed race in Italy, Lanwades now sponsors races in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Italy reflecting our enthusiasm for the Thoroughbred racehorse Internationally, and the ties of friendship the sport produces.
